Mobile Screenfest 2010, the first of its kind Australian mobile phone film and photography contest is open for entries, for one more week only!
The festival gives aspiring creatives, filmmakers, students, performers, budding photographers and anyone wanting to share an interesting 'shot-on-mobile' moment to shoot, upload and win a share of the over $12000 prize pool and be recognised at the major Festival Screening and Awards Night.
All you have to do is shoot any video or photo on their mobile phone and submit it online for FREE to www.mobilescreenfest.com.au by the 22nd August 2010.
The key criteria for Mobile Screenfest are that entrants should be Australian residents aged 15 and over and the short films should range from 30 seconds to four minutes in duration.
Finalist entries will be evaluated by a panel of local and international judges and winners will be announced at the finalists Screening and Awards Night at the funky Factory Theatre on 21st September 2010.
Celebrity judges include:
- Leading Australian talent agent Mark Morrissey,
- International Feature Film Writer/ Director Jody Dwyer ,
- Today FM's Geoff Fields (Best Phone Journalism),
- Upcoming film 'The Loved Ones' actress Victoria Thane (Best Horror/Thriller),
- Rugby legends John Eales and Quade Cooper (Best Sports Video)
- Prof Karl Bardosh, world leading mobile phone filmmaking expert from the US (Chief Judge).
